"nuiter" means to spend the night. It's the nearest I can get. It's an unusual word, but my Swiss landlady used it. She was opposed to it.

In French you have to specify where the sleeping occurs. Sleep over at my place = dormir chez moi. Sleep over at Cathy's place = dormir chez Cathy, etc.

If you say for example : I invited her to sleep over (to my place is implied), it will be "dormir chez moi"
