Get a lamp (like a desk lamp or something you can put over the egg). Get a box (preferably a tupperware type deal with a lid). Get some paper towel. Get a thermometer.
Put a layer of paper towel in the bottom of the box. Put the egg on the paper towel. Get some more paper towel and get it damp. Put this around the edge of the box, not touching the egg. Put the thermometer in the box near the egg.
Poke lots of little holes in the box lid for aeration. Put the lid on the box. Put the light so that it's shining on the box, and so that the box feels warm to the touch. Watch the thermometer. When it says 105 degrees for fifteen minutes in a row, the light is in the right place.
If the temp goes above 105, you'll know it, because the box will start to melt. Better a melted box than a cooked baby duck. But make sure NOT to melt your box.
Make sure to replace the damp paper towel every day, and turn the egg over three to five times to keep it healthy. If you need to, make a mark on one side with a magic marker. The mark should face up one day and down the next if you're turning it properly.
Best of luck.

first why kill the snake it was only feeding just like it has to to live. relocation is always the first answer to a situation in nature. now as for the egg it probably will not hatch without incubation. bird incubator would be required because the egg has to be turned daily just like the mother would do. 2nd chance would be to find a goose or duck or even chicken nesting on eggs and just add the egg with hopes that the mother will except it. if it hatches use a heat lamp to keep it warm and between now and then learn the difficult process of of hand-feeding birds. good luck

Why would anyone turn to Yahoo Answers in a life or death situation?
Bet you DID kill the snake, you only said you didn't coz everyone made you feel bad.
Keep the eggs warm (like in an airing cupboard) and IF the chicks hatch, take them to a vet. That's a big if.

Well, the snake was hungry, but you did the right thing by giving the baby a chance to live incubate the egg.

Incubate the egg by putting it under a heat lamp and wrapping it with towels. I would also call your local animal rescue or the ASPCA to see if they can help. Another idea to try is to put water bottles under the towels to keep it warm. When it hatches have feed ready, try bread crumbs and maybe some seeds and I have someone suggesting worms. Good luck!

Oh oh, if you don't know how to finish the job saving the eggs, you should have just let the poor snake have his dinner.. Why would you kill a snake, to save eggs that you don't even know if they are viable or not?!??

first why did you kill the snake???....him eating is apart of life just like you eating....i dont agree with killing that snake to save a bird that probably will die anyways. it is hard to hatch a goose and have it survive....plus in some areas it is illegal...call a wildlife rehab and ask them...dont try it yourself please!

I understand your panic but I'm afraid you did that egg no favors. Mother Nature was right on this one, you should have left it alone.
