Sort of.

The disciple Thomas(doubting Thomas) needed to see to Believe. He was not grounded in faith.

Abraham conversely, was full of faith and believed without evidence and the Bible states that God accounted this to Him as righteousness....Abraham became known as the Father of Faith.

While all of my questions will never be definitively answered, I find that rationally my belief is on solid ground. There are many things in the world we do not fully understand or “see”, yet we have no problems in believing them. For example, solar physics is not fully known, yet we all objectively accept, using faith and scientific discourse, the "fact" that the sun will rise tomorrow.

Persons that seek absolute proof of something are inconsistently applying logic and rationality, for they do not seek this absoluteness in all things. Hence, their epistemologies are not fully formed; they speak without proper understanding of the nature of knowledge.

Why is it we can believe in many things using rational analysis, even when what we believe is only partially known, yet when it comes to matters like a supreme being, we suddenly want the "show me beyond a shadow of doubt" proof? As Aristotle once stated, "It is the mark of an instructed mind to rest satisfied with the degree of precision which the nature of the subject admits, and not to seek exactness when only an approximation of the truth is possible."

Ironically the believe it to see it is true in many fields such as sports. You have a better chance of doing it if you believe it. In coaching, you have a better chance of success if you believe the person can do it. There are also a few scientific experiements on a atomic level which have yielded different results based on belief... funny stuff really.
Then there is the folks whose perception is set some way so it is always bad, always bleak, or always great, etc...

No. In terms of seeing, "we walk by faith and not by sight" - (2Corinthians 5:7). Meaning, we, as children of God (those who have been confessed Jesus as Lord and believe the God the Father raised Him from the dead), though we go through trials, tribulations, and persecutions, we have faith that these things are only temporary. We already have everlasting life and joy through Christ Jesus. We don't have to wait until our mortal bodies pass away. But, we do have faith that Jesus will return and we would rather live in that day right now. Ultimately, we continue to walk by faith until that day comes. These computers and internet highways that we are on right now are an example of how something that is not seen can come to be. Think about....everything, every product that has been created, first started in someone's mind. Initially, nobody else saw it but that person. God is love. He even blessed us with these brains that we have. May God give you understanding. You can be saved and have eternal life too: read Romans 10:9-13, confess Jesus Christ as Lord, ask for forgiveness of your sins, and believe in your heart (conscious and subconscious) that God the Father raised Him from the dead after He paid the death penalty on the cross for our sins. God bless you in Jesus' name. Amen.

As far motto, I don't know, but it has been said and it is true. But it isn't believe to see, it is believe and see or believing is seeing. I can believe it too. It makes sense. Seeing can be believing, but when it comes to God, it doesn't have to be.

i chanced on right here in a seek. i don't in my opinion have faith as quickly as stored continuously stored. "distinctive faith communities in the Christian church have taught conflicting perspectives approximately regardless of if a stored individual can for this reason lose their salvation: some have faith, with John Calvin, that "as quickly as stored, a individual is often stored." as quickly as one is stored, they are look after in the certainty that they are going to attain heaven after dying, no rely what they do throughout the time of the remainder of their life. Others have faith, with John Wesley, that one would nicely be stored at some point and lose one's salvation later in life, the two with the aid of an unsuitable concept or deed. subsequently, a individual's salvation prestige isn't desperate till they actually die. nevertheless others have faith, with the Amish, that salvation is attained with the aid of residing appropriate in accordance to strict policies, and that one's salvation prestige isn't desperate till one dies. There are passages in the Bible that help all viewpoints. There are additionally surviving writings from church leaders in the rising Christian circulation of the 1st and 2nd centuries which debate the permanence and impermanence of salvation. cutting-part-day denominations regularly interpret some biblical passages actually, and conflicting passages symbolically. That way, they'd help their denominational doctrine via quoting chosen passages from the Bible." The unforgivable sin is easy and straightforward, rejection. i've got faith that in case you're stored then you definately attempt (certainly) to stay your life in accordance to the Bible. in case you do some thing undesirable and you recognize that's misguided in GOD'S eyes then purely GOD is conscious the type you would be judged. i've got faith that persons who understand what's anticipated and that they do in any different case after being stored are held extra to blame for their possibilities and strikes.
