Can I keep parakeets and finches together in the same cage?

I currently have a cage with 7 adult parakeets (large aviary) and I would love to start keeping finches too. I used to keep 8 adult parakeets together but the others started picking on one of the females to the point of injury - so I removed her to a small separate cage. Would it be safe to keep this sweet girl with maybe 6 finches (some type of colorful finch) in a large aviary (by pinnacle - I belive it is 36" wide by 36" long by 60" tall)?

NEVER keep a hookbill and a finch in the same cage. One bad mood and one bite and the finch can loose a leg and die. Especially Gouldian Finches, they are an endangered species!

Put the budgie in another cage.

I would say buy another cage for your finch. Also finch's like to have companionship so buy another finch of the same species to of the same sex as they fight. And a pair will mate giving you babies.

Your aviary is too small to keep parrot and passerine together.
The female budgie probably got hurt because you have too many females together. 1 budgie with finches is probably ok. Just make sure you quarantine.
