I think that Iraq will blow itself apart, as it seems to be doing. If we will be smart enough to leave, and let the two sides of the same religion get it on, they would manage to sort themselves out. Anybody nuts enough to invent a term like "holy war" should have to deal with their own problems. Those old guys in dresses/robes whatever, don't want to give up their dominant, money grabbing positions. Lets bring home the troops while we still have them. Best wishes

Ya know, at one time I asked the same question. But then I started thinking...
What if some extremist Americans decided to commit acts of global terror? Would I want the rest of the world to stereotype ALL Americans as terrorists? Would it be okay for someone to drop a bomb on the U.S. to get rid of the small percentage that are extremists? Of course not.
I know WELL that it is tough to sort out the mess over there. This is my 4th year in the U.S. Army. I have had to console a good buddie's family after he was killed in a roadside attack. But my friend and I...and all of our troops signed up knowing that this might happen.
We are willing to fight to protect the innocent. Please support us.

The solution to the problem in Iraq lies with the Iraqi people and the Iraqi people alone. It doesn't make a tinkers damn what we do, the end result in Iraq will be the same.

has anyone noticed that their trotting out the same rhetoric for iran that they used for iraq. wmd's and nuclear bombs, iran has the right to create useful energy if they want and it's not up to america to police the world.
we should learn to live w/ eachother instead of trying to kill eachother....
