Hi, this is a parasite that infests and is commonly found in individuals with frequent sexual activity. That does not mean that your partner has cheated on you. It can come through a urinary tract infection too. Just get it treated. Using condom may not have prevented it as it can come through your own urinary tract.

Trichomoniasis is a sexually transmitted disease caused by the parasite Trichomonas vaginalis.
The disease can affect both men and women, but the symptoms differ between the two groups.
it is transmitted through intercourse with an infected partner
The infection usually does not cause symptoms in men and goes away on its own in a few weeks. In some cases, a man might have burning, itching, or a discharge.
Women with trichomoniasis have a itching and a heavy, foul-smelling, green-white or yellowish vaginal discharge.
The antibiotic metronidazole is commonly used to cure the infection. You should not drink alcohol while taking the medicine and for 48 hours after the antibiotics are completed.Use of alcohol with metronidazole can cause severe nausea and vomiting. Avoid sexual intercourse until treatment has been completed.
Sexual partners should be treated at the same time, even if they have no symptoms
A monogamous sexual relationship with a known healthy partner can help reduce the risk of sexually transmitted diseases, including trichomoniasis.
Other than total abstinence, condoms remain the best and most reliable protection against sexually transmitted diseases. Condoms must be used consistently and correctly

Trichomoniasis is a sexually transmitted disease which is caught through direct sexual contact, so if you havent had sex with anyone else its likely your partner has.
It can affect pregnancy too so you should definitly see your doctor about this asap.

it is transmitted sexually....you likely got it from him, no telling where he got it. BTW, why on earth would you have sex with someone you cannot trust emplicitly? Why would you risk yourself and your baby in that manner? I don't really expect you to answer me, but you need to answer these questions for yourself. Time to start taking responsibility for what you have done and not just blame your boyfriend or whomever, no one forced you to have sex with him.

i don't know much about that infection, but i can tell you that men do get these kind of bacteria and std's on there own.. most men, have things that they arent even aware of until they end up giving it to their partner. its like getting pregnant, men have the supplies and we deliver the goods.. lol only in a negative form =/ goodluck.. (he didnt necessarily cheat on you though)

Obviously you've been to the doctor since you know what you are infected with.......therefore why not ask the doctor this question? P.S. use protection next time, my tax dollars only go so far these days!

If he's not always somebody you can trust (your words, not mine) and you're asking these questions to begin with, why not just get yourself treated, dump him, and move on?
