and you're relaxed with some thought in your head. then suddenly, you get some sort of a shock, like your head has been unplugged from a socket. you get kind of a flash, like lightning and you jump up and breathe quick just when it happens. its a real unexpected shock and its wierd. someone told me its when your mind shuts down before your brain or something. anyone else get this? know what is is?

You might be thinking of a 'hypnic jerk.' Your whole body sort of twitches as you are about to drift off to sleep. It happens to everyone I believe. Read more about it on the link I gave below, I always wondered what that was. So embarrassing when it happens to me because my whole body convulses :-P

It's happened a couple of times. I HATE it! It only happens when I'm really really tired. Your mind/brain never shut down, so I think your friend is wrong. But I don't know what causes it, so it's a better guess than I have.

I as quickly as fell asleep sitting in front of a rest room leaning against a tub bathtub because of the fact I drank too a lot vodka does that count variety? tub tubs are too short for grown adult adult males to sleep in very certainly particularly plus you may desire a blanket or some thing or it would be too not undemanding.

omg i get this all the time and im not even kidding- i hate it because then i wake up! it seriously feels like i jump a foot off my bed when its probably just a a little jolt- it's be funny to watch myself or someone else on camera when it happens :)

I have this happen to me all the time. Its really funny especially if I am at my boyfriends house and then he looks at me like I am crazy. Its normal, i hope. lol

kinda not really, i sometimes get that when i'm half alseep i jerk awake because if feels like i'm falling off the bed, then i look and i'm in the very middle
