I heard that during world war two the brits wanted to keep their new radar systems a secret from the germans so they set up an elaborate lie about their fighter pilots eating lots of carrots to see in the dark and find the enemy. They even had group photographs taken of fighter pilots holding carrots up to the camera.

Carrots will not improve your eye sight, let alone enable you to see in the dark. A working lightswitch, will.

Carrots are good for your eyes as wine is good for your heart. You may not notice a difference, and it clearly won't award you with super night vision, but will be beneficial to your overall sight.

No, it was actually propoganda deliberately leaked to the Germans during WWII, it was designed to disguise the fact that we were developing radar to "See in the dark".

no. They can strengthen your eyes for retaining sight as you age, but they can't make u see in the dark.

Ha Ha, probably yes! They have carotene in them; that is rich is vitamin A. That's good for the eyes.

nope i eat 2 a day and when its dark my eye sight is awful (and i dont eat crusts but my hair is very curley...ref to your last question!!!!)
