I lost my job and now I need money so bad. I won't be able to pay rent on the 1st if I don't do something soon. Anyone have any ideas? Is there help available? Is there some kind of work program where I can just go there and work on something today and get paid? Any ideas would be appreciated.

first file for unemployement!
2nd go around and ask companies if they need help for the day! and old folks home see if they need grass cut food shopping.ect..
it may be a little bit of money and you may be very busy doing little jobs! but if your broke you'll do what you need to do!
if you paint ask to paint a sign for someone!
just don't give up! if someone isn't hiring ask them if you can do something for a few bucks!

If you are going to college/university you can go to financial aid office and recieve an emergency loan. Typically 300-500 dollars.
You can go to your local social services office (normally known as the welfare office). They usually have a list of places that can provide assistance in emergency situations (especially with rent, food, etc...).
You can go to a Payday loans, Title loans, or Check into Cash.
You can go to the bank and ask for a small loan.
Some places have a Labor Ready job company. It is a place where you go and get work per day. You should check and see if you have one in your area.
You can also pawn some items and retrieve them later (at local pawn shop).
If you qualify for unemployment you should definately make use of it.
You can also have a garage sale to get some extra money.

Get a job were you can make tips like waitressing. You may need to borrow money for rent this month, but should be able to pay it back quickly if you work a lot.

you could get a bank loan...ask the parents. sell your car. sell something else. ask people for their empty bottles and tins and take them to the recycling depot. You could always offer to babysit for friends or whatever. You'll find something.
