You probably get too stressed like me. My blood pressure averages 160/100 (not too good). Best thing is probably to release your anger on someone (or something).

First of all SC, it's idiots on the Internet not idiots on a computer.... There is a difference, the Internet is interactive with real people, a computer system on the otherhand - is not...
Who's the idiot now?
Anyway, moving on; the reason you have pain in your rib is one or two or more of these things;
you could have mildly fractured your rib.
You have pulled a ligiment surrounding your rib...
You have tension in your muscles because of stress; think about it, when you get stressed, can't you feel your body tensing up? I have just been out of hospital because of an operation on a lump, and beforehand I was very unrelaxed, and it had efffected all of my shoulder and back....
But when it was removed, along with my worry, the pain was lifted...
Just like if your stress levels were.

My advice to you is to see a doctor to get it checked out - if it isnt a pulled ligiment I can bet you it's stress related.

I am so pleased that i read this question as i suffer the same thing. I have even had x-rays and kidney function tests and nothing showed up. I have noticed though that when i get stressed out, this is when it comes on. I am off to the Docs again this week and i will be asking him if stress can cause the pain. Will keep looking back here though to see if anyone knows the answer.

Is it triggered immediately after you get angry, or is there a movement that causes it?

Sometimes, it could be a medical condition; my knowledge of medical practices is limited, and I know of none such illness that is invoked by anger, but you may want to get a diagnosis by a doctor.

it means u have to control ur anger hun. u might want to go get that checked out. i recently had a sonogram of my heart bc i was getting similar sharp pains like that...also, so u have high cholesterol or blood pressure? go to the doctor and get it checked out. they'll probably run a million tests on you but its necessary. good luck
