im planning to buy several mos from now but this early i would like to start test driving some vehicles and im afraid the salesman would not allow me to because im not buying it immidiately,what should i say so that they will allow me to test drive

They dont need to know when you are planning to buy. They WANT to get you to test drive the cars. Don't worry about it

You can test drive anything you want as long as you have a drivers license.

If a salesman doesn't let you test drive, just walk away. There's no way you can buy a car without driving it.

give them a list of items you want that are non-negotiable like A/C, Stereo, etc

Tell them what is negotiable like power windows, color etc

Then test drive the car and make notes in a note pad. Price, how the car handles, etc. Finally, tell then you are shopping around and you will let them know if you are interested in the car after shopping around

You don't have to tell them that you're not ready to buy; just tell them that you're in the market for a car and want to test drive several different makes before you make a decision. You don't even have to give them any personal information such as your phone number.
