You can't just walk and lose weight. It depends on how much you eat too. The more you eat the more you have to walk.

any cardio exercise, that is any exercise that raises your heart rate for a period of time, will help you lose weight. Belly fat is usually due to stress though, so reducing your stress levels may also help, a suggest yoga. I agree also with the girl who said sit-ups, though cardio will help you lose weight if you want to lose weight in a particular spot you need to do exercises to impact that part of your body.

if you walk for at least a mile (around a park or the local mall) it will help. especially if you do it every few days. like every other day take time to walk around for at least an hour or so.
