In my opinion, that is a great deal of money, but I'm still in college, so anything better than $10-12 an hour seems good to me. You probably make somewhere around $7500 a month, after taxes. Definitely good money.
I suppose it depends on where you live and how much house you have. In California or the northeast, where your average house is $500k or more, that amount won't go all that far. Here in Texas, you could get a good mortgage and definitely buy a very nice home in one of the better neighborhoods, and still have enough left over to live nicely, drive a Cadillac or BMW, etc...(not the 80k BMW's - the 30-40k ones :)) Granted, you're not a millionaire, but the average American makes less than 40k, so you're 3 times better than that. But if you try to live like you make 300k a year, it can seem like you're not making it. So I would concentrate staying within your means. You are well off, don't complain.
I just got back from overseas, and all of us as Americans should be thankful for how good we have it, even if you are on the poorer end. We have it 10X better than the majority of the world. And at your income you have it 100X better.

It's not the money, it's the spirit.
Money is money, things are things.
Doing what makes you happy is the key.
Read some books on finding the career that makes you happy.
Your daily work needs to be fulfilling to be happy. Just making a pile as an executive or professional iss not going to do it.
I was happy as hell on active duty, making 24k a year. I knew where I was, why I was there, the consequences for failure. I was never so alive in my life, in the place I was supposed to be. Getting paid 24 a year was just a big bonus, to doing work that I totally enjoyed.
Now I am a writer. It's less exciting, but hell, I am not a bullet sponge anymore, either. And I enjoy it, it helps me to think, and keep my feelings clear.
Read some good books on Taoism, Buddhism, and Musashi, and Sun Tzu. They can help for your situation.
Once you have mastered your inner owrld, sicne you have seemed to have mastered the outer, nothing will be impossible for you.
Good luck. I don't envy your wealth, I respect your achievement to this point. Making that much is a long road. I know I will never get that far, I went in a different direction.
But I am happy.
Last thought: Donate some of it, 5% to kids overseas, or in Appalachia, as your personal pay it forward tithe to the world for your luck, in recompense. Or volunteer somewhere, unless you already do these things. Many who are successful do already, since they understand these matters. You will help to change lives.

It is a lot of money considering that most of the population doesn't make close to that. Perhaps you do not feel like you have arrived because you may not have the really important things that actually matter in life. Also, consider what you are doing with the money, are you doing anything good/unselfish with it? Remember that man makes the money, money doesn't make the man.

It's more than most, but it depends on where you live. In NYC or San Fran, it would be livable. In many other places, you could live quite comfortably with plenty to spend and save!
$120K/year. Those were the days . . .

You are very right! That six figure income is not what it used to be...with rising gasoline, mortgage and interests rates I would say in about ten years your salary will be the norm. Right now I think you are in the "not so bad, but could do better" category.

Hi, It's okay people make mistakes and I thought it must have been in the wrong category because money means nothing when it comes to love.
