Well, I know that this is an odd question, but i do not have much time. I am taking a class in College in which i have to prepare a Taiwanese dish by Wednesday night. Does anyone have any recomendations, or know any websites that would help. Thank you.

Oyster Soup with Vermicelli
makes 4 servings

Ingredients:
Soup:
1 pound of oysters, shucked (you can substitute canned oysters if fresh are not available)
2 cloves garlic crushed
2 tablespoons soy sauce
a few fresh basil leaves
¼ pound vermicelli, cooked (rice or wheat)

Sauce A: ½ tablespoon cooking wine or sherry, ¼ teaspoon salt and 3 tablespoons cornstarch

Sauce B: 2 tablespoons cooking wine or sherry, 4 cups stock or water, ¼ teaspoon salt, pepper, 1 ½ tablespoons cornstarch

Step 1: Wash the oysters by rubbing gently in several changes of salt water. Blanch in boiling water. Remove and drain . Marinate in sauce A and set aside.

Step 2: Heat water in a large enough pot to cook the vermicelli. While this water is coming to a boil, heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a preheated wok. Stir-fry garlic for three minutes, then add soy sauce and sauce B. Boil until thick. Stir in oysters and fresh basil and remove from heat. Don’t forget to drain your vermicelli!

Step 3: Place the warm and drained vermicelli noodles in a bowl. Pour the oyster soup over the noodles.

Taiwanese Pork Chops
INGREDIENTS
4 (3/4 inch) thick bone-in pork chops
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 tablespoon white wine
1/2 tablespoon Chinese five-spice powder
vegetable oil
vegetable oil for frying
cornstarch
DIRECTIONS
With a sharp knife, make several small slits near the edges of the pork chops to keep them from curling when fried.
Into a large resealable plastic bag, add the soy sauce, garlic, sugar, white wine, and five-spice powder. Place chops into the bag, and close the seal tightly. Carefully massage the marinade into chops, coating well. Refrigerate at least 1 hour, turning the bag over every so often.
In a large skillet, heat enough vegetable oil to fill the skillet to a depth of about 1/2 inch. Remove chops from resealable bag without wiping off marinade. Lightly sprinkle cornstarch on both sides of the chops.
Carefully add chops to skillet; cook, turning once, until golden brown on both sides and cooked through.

1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon white sugar
3 tablespoons olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup chopped green onions
salt and pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS
Cut the tofu in half lengthwise down the top. Slice into squares 1/4 inch thick. Stir together the soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, and sugar in a small bowl, set aside.
Heat oil in a large, nonstick pan over medium heat. Add garlic and green onions, and cook until fragrant, about 20 seconds. Brown tofu well on each side, then pour in sauce and cook until the sauce has been incorporated by the tofu, 2 to 3 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
