I like this guy and I want to ask him out but I'm nervous and I don't want to be heartbroken. How can I just ask him out straight up?

Just be honest with him.Say :"I like you and I would like to know if you would want to go catch a movie or some dinner with me.Before you do this however.....you have to realize for yourself that you are worth dating and that even if he says no...that there is a guy out there who wants to say yes to you.Life is way too short to waste on butterflies in the stomach.You have nothing to lose.As long as you can be grown up about his response, its really no big deal.

My sis has the same problem. She really likes this guy and I'm 99.9999 % that the feeling is mutual, but she's just to chicken to ask him out because she is afraid of rejection (and he seems to be the same way...they're perfect for each other!). You could... 1) just go up to him and tell him how you feel and see how he feels about you...if he feels the same way, then just ask him; 2) drop hints and wait for him to ask (which I don't really recommend); or 3) have someone that you are comfortable talking to (perferabely a guy since he will prob open up more to a guy than a girl), and have him/her "sneak" it in a conversation about how he feels about you; if he likes you, then go up and ask him, or you could have your friend to tell him that he should tell you that. just get to know him and see if he thinks he likes u and u think u like him and then just ask him out and if he says no don't be down on urself because theres always other tries u can give it love is just like a sport, at first u may not do so well but if u keep on trying u will get better and thats just the same as a relationship if this boy means the world to u then u should keep trying if not then just think positive and move on

If you don't ask, you'll never know. Then you'll just be caught in a vortex of "Ohhhh my why did I not ask him when I had the chance" etc etc when you see him with someone else in a month.
Get the courage in your head that you can do it, and just start up a good casual convo. And dont do it around his friends. Make sure you two are somewhat isolated. Its tough, asking people out, but its gotta be done. Good luck.

Just go up to him and make eye contact.if he can't look away then he is into you.........ask him if he would like to grab a cup of coffee, or whatever......what is the worst thing that is going to happen, a guy really saying no to a girl that is BOLD enough to ask him out.......I don't think so.......

SIMPLY, go up to him and just let your feelings out. A guy loves a girl that can talk for themselves!!Once you gain your courage you can do a lot more things.Just do it and get it over with, you won't regret it no matter what happens. GOOD LUCK

i have never asked a guy out to proud if you are really nervous playfully tell him youre taking me out this weekend and if he says what say you don't want to take me out playfully see how he reacts or to avoid rejection you could email him or call him or send him a note hope this helps good luck

All i have to say is if you never talk to him or ask him out??!!! you will never know, but if he doesnt like you then he wont treat you right then you have to go find somebody else which is typical!!!! just open up your mouth, he might LOVE u!

just remember its not a life-long committment. suggest hanging out, maybe with some other friends to keep the pressure off. them if you have fun you can try a second "date" maybe even alone if you are so bold ;-)

Do something that reves you up just before you ask him. Also dont dwell on it for more than 5 min.
