In case you didn't know, there are several dozen major American maufactures in Vietnam already as well as thousands of smaller ones..
Vietnam is a tropical paradise with a booming economy. (the second fastest growing economy %wise in the world.) Most of the population (about 75% I believe) is under the age of thirty. That gives manufactures a large market as well as an economical workforce.
In addition, the government is promoting reforms that allow foreigners to more easily purchase land and establish business' while at the same time trying to protect the Viets from becoming wage slaves.
Try googling Vietnam Economic News and read up on the staggering amounts of money being invested now. Also, check your Nike shoes to see where they were made.

The saying goes, "time heals all wounds" and in the case of countries, history proves that. Remember that we were once at war with England, Mexico, Germany, Japan, and other countries, and now we do business with them. We buy their products, became allies, etc... time passes and things change, that is just the way it is.... plus Capitalism is about making money, and not necessarily about making friends.
