I am looking for a simple to use recording program for podcasts. I'm particularly interested in hearing from people who HAVE current podcasts so I can compare the quality.

A lot of podcasters swear by Audacity which is free - I know that Mike Smith of the Miketechshow podcast uses Audacity to record his shows

Two other freeware recording tools for podcasts which might interest you are:
WildVoice Podcast Studio

PodProducer

ePodcast creator

or
http://www.blazeaudio.com/products/powerrecord.html

Powerrecord is like a DVR for internet or broadcast radio. You can schedule recordings of radio shows to autorecord on a schedule for listening later.

I have used several of their products and have found them to be top quality. I haven't personally used the podcasting creator, but I have used powerrecord, ripeditburn, and overdub.
