I am getting sick tired hearing prolifers saying you always put child up for adoption and talk women cannt have kids if wanting children means so much to women couples cannt have kids thye would go adopt child period regardless of age there tons kids in foster care waiting be adopt majority kids over age 2 or 3 never getadopted in us every one wants a baby how about adopt some these kids need homes now stop teeling women not to abort and adopt some kids that concidered unadoptable due to age or all emotional baggage being moved around here and there . So before say again abortion not answer and adoption is what about the older kids needing homes but concidered to old .

Well, I agree and disagree with you. I can see your point on why if couples want to adopt why they don't adopt foster children of any age. I can also understand why the couples don't want to adopt foster children. I was adopted from newborn, but my family has been a foster family for 8 years, and have had children from 3 days to 17 years. Older children in foster homes have seen a lot in their young life, and tend to have more "problems" mentally. If a baby is adopted out of a bad home, the baby will still grow up and live a normal life and most likely won't remember anything that happened when at they're old house. Some parents can't take all the emotional baggage that comes with older children. And i don't know about where you're from or in other places, but around here in Lincoln County WV, tons more older kids are adopted than older kids. My best friend and her 5 siblings adoption will be final in two weeks, and my moms friend, a foster parents has adopted a 14 yr old with autism and her 10 yr old sister and is in the process of adopting an 11 year old. Then my sisters friend is adopting a 15,14,10,and 8 year old. All these children from foster homes. My mother was going to adopt 7 and 10 yr old girls, but the judge sent them back to their bio parents. So for those that won't adopt older kids then they really don't want a kid that badly, but most people would gladly take any child.

Most of the time, many people are willing to adopt an older child, if they can not get a baby. However, most people who want to adopt a child of any age are not allowed to.
Most adoption agencies and child welfare agencies have
very strict (and discriminating ) rules on who can and can not adopt a child.
For example, some will not allow a single, unmarried adult to adopt. Most will not allow a couple to adopt if they are not married and are "living together". Most will not allow
a common law married couple to adopt. Gay and lesbian couples are not allowed to adopt. Most will not allow married couples to adopt if they have not been married at least 5 years. Most will not allow married couples to adopt if one or both partners are over age 45.
Most require that the couple own their own home. (No apartments allowed.) Most require that both partners be working full time at the same companies for at least 10 years.
Most agencies require almost perfect credit histories.
They also require a substantial amount of annual income.
They also require that both prospective parents be in good health and have no problems there. (My aunt and uncle wanted to adopt but were told no because they both have type 2 diabetes. FYI...they wanted to adopt an hiv positve 6 year old)
If there were less abortions and more and more children
available to adopt, certainly these ridulous rules above would be lessened allowing more and more good parents to adopt a child.

If this question is in reguards to another persons question...I probably answered it. I was one of the ones saying not to abort...put up for adoption, I have has miscarriages....other couples would love to raise your baby. Etc, Etc.

For your imformation, I am doing everything in my power to help as many children in the foster system that I can. My huasband and I are finalizing Friday on an adoption of a little girl that was otherwise going to go into permanent foster care with her other 7 sibs...we are not eligable to adopt the others due to age restictions. But they have been in a different foster home and are most likely going to be adopted by their current foster parents. We have another foster boy in our home that spent 7 days in the hospital before they were able to find a foster home to take him in...has some serious medical problems. At this point we cannot have older children because of our ages, but we are taking in younger children that have medical problems. So please, do not group everyone together...I am actively persuing doing what I can, and I believe that gives me the right to say what I said. DO NOT ABORT...THERE ARE PEOPLE OUT THERE THAT WOULD LOVE TO BE PARENTS TO THAT MIRACLE GROWING INSIDE OF YOU!!!!!

So what is your actual question? It is a well known fact that more couples would rather have a newborn baby than an older child. This isn't ALL couples but the majority. You really need to work on grammar and punctuation. Your "question" is really just one big run on sentence & hard to follow. BTW, this really isn't a place for "venting". That would be better left to a blog or journal of some sort.

Prolifer here and I adopted BOTH my children. One at 11 months and one at 3.5 yrs of age.
Neither was easy and the 3.5 came with emotional baggage.
You have to be prepared for alot of detachment issues and alot of anger, not every one is.

I get sick and tired of baby killers saying that pro-lifers don't care about older children. That is just stupid. Some conservatives DO focus their attention on the abortion issue, cause you can't focus on EVERYTHING ya know but TONS of conservatives spend money and time on older children. Many adopt. YES there are still older kids that are hurting. But what you libs are saying is that it would be better to rape, torture and chop them up while they are in the womb.

THAT is your problem.. you hate rape (rightly) but you still want to pierce a baby with a scalpal or suction and torture it to death in the womb. is that Liberal Thinking?

Abortion is murder....period. And that is all that needs to be said. I am sorry there are so many irresponsible people out there that use abortion as a form of birth control.
