Actually, I think he did come at the right time because people back then were desperate for a messiah. Times were rough back then and people needed something to look forward to, something to occupy their time, somebody to worship. They needed something so basically they made up the story of Jesus and christianity (stolen from older cults, myths and religions) so their minds were more at ease.
So the answer to your question is NO, he did not come at the wrong time, it was right for them back in the olden days, it is NOT right for us now and thats why christianity is dying a slow death..

You said that Jesus didn't leave any evidence of his being here. But if you think about it, did Jesus want to be that big shot "superstar?" Yes, there is a lack of evidence. And that requires all the more faith on our part to believe He came and died and rose again. And He came at a time when there were no wars, when everyone was united. So the people could fully understand and grasp His ideas. If He came now, at a time of war, people would not think much of him. Think about it--the mindset of people at peace and the mindset of people at war. Which would understand Jesus more? And you also said if He came now, He could end the wars going on today. That's exactly what the people of that time believed too. They believed He would be a big-shot King who would drive out the Romans and rule all. But Jesus didn't come to be served, he came to serve. He came solely to die for the people's sins. He didn't come to drive out Romans or fight in wars.
And you're right in saying that that God is a smart dude. He's actually an extremely smart dude--He has a smartness that is too big for our smartness to understand. His timing is perfect. Never question God's will. He's God.

First of all the Roman Empire was not primitive. He didn't leave any evidence for he knew that if he did, then the religious leaders in the near future would use it as a money making device. (Look what's been done with the Bible in the hands of the Catholics). It isn't contradictory in the least. However Jesus did state that he would hide the truth of his word from the big and the intelligent and make it's secrets known to children. That means, you need to have faith and love of God in order to understand it. Jesus will come down in our time, but not as the Teacher. As the King of the Heavens. And this time it will be he that does the 'crucifying'.

If it looks like it's a smart thing to do, but it doesn't happen, does that tell you something about what is smart? If you believed in God then you would know what smart is, because it's what has happened. Uniting the world into one religion, doing away with war, and saving a multitude of people who hate him isn't his will. His will is that none should perish, and he has made a way for all those who will come to him through Jesus Christ to do so.

Jesus wasn't a large deal then. Jesus grew to grow to be greater common by way of fact the republican party got here right into a greater effectual point contained in the 60's. The events reversed then. So the republican party with the drug companies & the independently wealthy & the churchs have been all engaged on the hundreds. Now with Fox hollow information & different precise wing media & the money they are able to locate the money for to pay them the brainwashing is stronger than each. Jesus is used now as a cult charm. The media gets the hundreds sick. They run to their physician & get meds & the meds save them paranoid & looped up. One vast scam on the republicans so as that they are going to do each thing they are able to to maintain the independently wealthy utilising the yank public.

His message is still the same and is as relevant as it was then. Anybody who follows Jesus is okay with me. They can't just mouth the words, though. They need to be like Jesus, if they would be Christian - which is "Christ-like." This is a point sorely missed by those who seem to be his biggest cheerleaders. I am a dolt, ignorant and stupid as a door knob, this I know for certain; but I also know that Jesus is in the heart and I need look no further than my friend, Emmett, who is a Jesuit priest, who has travelled the world in service to Jesus - he helps the homeless, protests the war, runs a shelter and soup kitchen, nurtures the sick and is out there every day living the gospel. What say ye "Christians" to that? Faith without works is dead. Be Jesus, then, all of you who would say you follow him.

That was not his goal. His purpose was not to be accepted but to be killed. He came at the correct time. We are not any more civilized than Rome was, we just believe we are. Greek was a universal language and is to this day the easiest translated language and most discriptive language with over 30 tenses (compared to english only having past, present and future). There were roads to lead across most of the world. There was Pax Romana to allow for the spreading of the Gospel. There was the Greek influence of the philosophy that made people examine Christ and determine if He is who He says (and the overwelming evidence is yes, just look at Peter Stoners work). There was also the dispersion of the Jews which spread the desire for a Messiah to the whole world. But again, He did not come to prove himself, but to die. He was born specificaly to die as a propitiation for our sin.

God's timing was and is perfect. Jesus didn't just perform miracles, he changed people's lives and he died on the cross for our sins! If there was more evidence then there would be no need for faith.

If u dont believe in God or his miracles, then y do u keep obsessing about Him? Or do u just hate him that much?
If u dont think there is anyevedence of God's existance, then just say so and move on. But if u feel that god does exist, seek and u will find.
