It was the other driver's fault. He was insured, and his insurance company paid me money for my car. It was totalled. But I cannot afford another car with the payment that I received. Will I get more to cover the costs of another car?

Yes. I signed the back of the title. I've done no signing for completion of medical bills. I believe I can get no more money for a car.

Likely not. Once you accept the check you are agreeing that the payment is adequate. Just because you can't afford a new car--will not be enough justification for the insurance company to give you more money.

They paid the value of the car at the time of the loss, and you accepted it. It is not up to the insurance company, yours or his, to ensure you can find another car. Do some more car shopping, there is always a deal out there.

What did the insurance company pay you money for?? Was it the medical bills? Or was it the blue book value of your car?? If they gave you the blue book value of your car then your out of luck. The insurance company only have to pay one what the car is worth, not make sure that one gets another set of wheels.

No. You have accepted their offer, they paid you. You are done with this deal.
