Young Christians should leave the atheists and agnostics to older Christians. Then again the atheists and agnostics would not get much attention. However young one (spiritual young) the metaphors that give you comfort only irritate them. Your use of the language taught to you does no good here. Spend your time in the company of those who strengthen your faith and leave the reprobates to the old ones who will not be dissuaded or bothered by them.

Just cuz john says so does not make it a fact. My ex step dad was named john and he told me that he was going to be a pro football player- I didn't believe him then and he never did become a pro so what's to say the word of some dude named john is worth anything?

it says that "god so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, and that who shall ever believes in him, shall not perish, but have ever lasting life".
i have so many problems with that verse!, so..anyways, "god" loves the world, it doesn't state that "god loves the humans in this world".
and if you read that passage just right, it could also mean "god gave the world to his son"
and if we believe in him (gods son) then we shall not perish...HELLO..PEOPLE DIE EVERY DAY!!!!!! even people that believe in "him".
