I think it's great to have waited so long to even think about starting a family. So many people jump into marriage and family too young. They don't have stable careers, homes, or finances. At 35, you're more financially stable or at least financially wiser and therefore more capable of raising children.

If you're happily married and have the financial and emotional security to raise a family, there's nothing wrong with being 35.

It's not my place to think anything about them. If that's the age at which they want to start a family, more power to them. I hope you aren’t suggesting that's too old to start a family, because that is far from 'old'.

At that age, they're (hopefully) mature, intelligent, financially stable, etc, etc. Therefore, they'll have the foundation to make great parents.

That's when I started mine & so far so good. I thinkk it's better to be an older mom...you get all that partying out of your system when you're in your 20's & then when you decide to have a child, you're actually READY. I wouldn't have done it any differently. My daughter's 10 now & we have the closest relationship. Everyone's having kids later on in life now...for lots of reasons -- financial stability, emotional maturity, etc. It's all good.

As a thirtysomething myself, I think it's a good idea...most of the time people at this age are a little more secure, stable and mature...MOST of the time! Yup, family is good, stability is good.

Actually if half the world thought like that then I don't think we would have disrecpting children these days. Young mothers are not punishing their children because they are not sure what to do.
