A-A looks for a variety of malware on your computer, hence the "object" name. It could be bad things in your computer's registry (which among other things, keeps track of what programs are loaded on your computer,) bad things associated with your browser, or bad things loaded on your computer.
Quarantining all the bad things it finds is a sound and wise idea. After the bad stuff is in the Q, do a complete shutdown on your computer (not a restart.) Keep running A-A until it doesn't find anything that hasn't already been quarantined. It's normal to have to run it several times to get junk cleaned off. Once it doesn't find anymore bad stuff, make sure you can go online and whatever other tasks you normally do. When you're sure everything's kopestetic, then run it once more to delete the bad objects from the quarantine.
Finally, if one or more of the bad things A-A quarantines keeps coming back, you'll need to run A-A in Safe Mode. Leave a message that it's happening and I'll give you the drill.
Good luck and compute in peace!!!

OK, don't get hyper with this. For a first time, this is good, Ad-Aware found a total of 54 items that need to be removed. When you click on Continue, these 54 items are completely removed from your computer. They are gone. For good. You put a check mark by each category of either Critical or Negligible items, then click Next then Continue. Then you are through and you close Ad-Aware. Good for you. Do this at least twice a week. Actually from now on, you can run what is called a Smart Scan, which cuts the time down and still finds whatever there is to find.
Congratulations on using Ad-Aware. You've taken a big step in protecting your computer against spyware.

You should check the results to see what Ad-Aware is removing. If you don't know what something is, you can Google for the file name, or post it here. Having said that, Ad-Aware is not a particularly strong or deep scanner, it was designed with safety in mind, so most of what it finds tends to be either tracking cookies or MRU's (these are lists of your most recently used files), both are safe to delete.

When you remove it it takes all of the ad-ware and spy-ware completely off of your computer, not just off the list. If you notice after the scan n the stats dashboard, it will say how many items have been removed along with how many scans have been preformed.

When you "remove" them, it creates a backup that can be restored if needed.
