It's not supposed to be rebuilt until the coming of the messiah.
but- more practically- the arabs would have a fit. Heck, when Israel was doing some maintenance on a walkway ramp way down below the temple mount a few months ago- the Palestinians were in an uproar that they were undermining the mount (one which sits the Dome of the Rock)
Oh, the Dome of the Rock sits right on top of where the Temple goes. It's inconvieniently the location (the rock) from which Mohammad left the earth and rose to heaven. It's under that big golden dome that you see every time you see a photo of Jerusalem.

The Temple was rebuild its called Al Qusa and it will be liberated by the Messiah God willing. If the Messiah is coming today who will he save the Palestinians whose lands was taken by force and living in a Refugee Camps for the last 50 years. Or the Israelis Zionist forces, which took the Palestinian, homes and land and cities by force un Godly way?
Any one who will say the Messiah” will be on the fanatic Israeli side is making a big misleading prediction mistake why because The Messiah is fare and justice and love and peace how can he stand on the occupation side. The people of Palestine are Jews and Christians and Muslims.

There is an ancient rabbinical order that is making the first steps toward rebuilding the temple right now. By "coincidence" it's happening in an age where many believe that the second coming is imminent. It could all be a part of the final plan.

No. God prophesied that the temple will be rebuilt when the AntiChrist comes to power during the Tribulation. They do not rebuild it because God has not said it was time to do so.

They fully intend to do so with the finances that they have absconded from the whole world, including their own people during Hitler's time, but God had a temple for his people and now he has a people for his temple. Rebuilding the temple in Jerusalem is anti-christ.

they'd have to destroy the Dome of the Rock to build the 3rd Temple of Jerusalem. And that would open up a huge can of worms.

They're waiting until the right time. I've heard that they've actually already constructed it, via modular construction, but who knows. They're gonna have a problem with that pesky Dome of the Rock sitting there though.
