We had a luau!! We all dressed in hawaiin attire. Had fruit, punch, salmon and tri-tip. We had gold-fish as centerpieces. It was held in the back yard, and we also had a fire pit. It was relaxing and it was a blast!!

The sky is the limit here...not sure what type of wedding you are having or what your interests are. I've been to rehearsal dinners ranging from pizza and casual party with games and movies to formal sit down dinner at a fancy restaurant. Anything in between is having a BBQ, finger sandwiches, fish fry, etc. ..depending on budget. If you're planning a formal wedding and reception, you may want to go casual and low key for the rehearsal dinner and make it fun! You could rent a pool (if you have friends or family that has one, that's even better) and grill burgers or steaks...and have fun following the rehearsal!

Being that we are from Southern Louisiana, we are having a huge crawfish and crab boil for our wedding party and our families. It will be at a local outdoor arena. We thought about a BBQ also. They are both fun and entertaining with out all the troubles of catering and clean up is very easy, and besides kids can run and play with their friends without having to be in the quietness and neatness of restaurants!
Good Luck!

Your wedding ceremony practice consultation dinner would desire to be purely the different of your wedding ceremony day plans. the point of ritual would desire to be diverse . . the region would desire to be diverse . . and the menu would desire to be diverse. in case you're having a take a seat-down dinner on the marriage reception then have a buffet or a "stations" meal on the practice consultation dinner. in case you're having a "formal" wedding ceremony then your practice consultation dinner would desire to be much less formal. for the reason which you're serving poultry and crimson meat on the reception then have seafood or crimson meat (or a mixture) on the practice consultation dinner. you would be unable to pass incorrect with crimson meat tenderloin or baked ham or grilled tilapia or fried shrimp or flounder. Have an ice cream sundae buffet or fancy cupcakes or embellished cookies and a groom's cake for dessert. And right this is explanation why you want to do some thing diverse on the practice consultation dinner (actual tale) . . The Groom's mom found out what grew to become into being served on the marriage reception so she had the menu duplicated for the practice consultation dinner (she grew to become into the hostess) at a lots nicer and extra sophiscated eating place. day after as we communicate the terrific guy informed the Groom as quickly as they ate dinner, "final night's dinner grew to become into extra advantageous." responded via: an authorized wedding ceremony professional / a expert bridal representative / a marriage ceremony officiant

I Had a bbq. It was very laid back and affordable. Much cheaper then a sit down plus we had so many out of state relatives and they came to. Usually it is just the bridal party and parents. The kids were able to run around and play and we just had a great time visiting and relaxing because it was not anything formal.

My folks just booked a private room at the local Italian restaurant for my brother's rehearsal dinner. It worked out great, because there were over 50 of us there!!!

We are having ours at the church and grilling stakes and bowling shrimp. Since it's going to be mostly family and close friends, it's going to be like a big BBQ. Nothing formal, I'm telling everyone to come in their blue jeans and t-shirts. We all have to dress up enough the next day. Good Luck!

What is it that you're looking for?? For us, we're so busy the night before the wedding that wedding rehearsal dinner is burger king and taco bell. We're usually cooking and preparing and decorating and all that fun stuff the night before the wedding.

You don't really specify what you are asking, but I've been to a couple different ones and one is to have it at a local casual restaurant with the bridal party in attendance, the other is to have it at the bride's home, catered. Whatever is convenient is what is best. Good luck and God Bless your marriage.

If you are trying to save money, have the dinner at one of your family members house and cook they're. The only people who come to the rehearsal dinner and family and close friends.
