The weirdest thing worked for me. I started jogging and after 3 months of jogging (and the sauna) my acne cleared up a lot. When I asked around why they explained that it was due to the sweat and running opening up my pores. During this time I started using facial treatments less. To this they explained that because I was putting less 'treatment' on my face it was permitting the skin to rejuvenate on its own and in connection with the running give it time to make it stronger and healthier.

Dry and/or greasy skin due to poor oil composition of the skin. Thick greasy oils clog pores, lack of oil leads to dryness and irritation. You need thin oils to moisturize while dissolving and clearing gunk in your poors. Try fish oil or seafood. 2 tsp fish oil a day or 4 servings of seafood a week. Stick it out for at least 2 months; it will take a long time to replace all your oil. Any effect after 1-2 days is temporary or random; so even if it makes you break out a little at first, you haven't given it a full try yet.

In the short term you can wash and moisturize well, but that will only go so far. Plus excessive washing can be drying and excessive moisturizing can be clogging. Use a small amount of a light moisturizer, made with oil not jelly or grease. Often that means soybean oil or mineral oil. Mineral oil means mined from the ground. So soybean oil is usually better, though mineral oil won't cause too much harm. Clean with soap and water, not a harsh acne cleanser. Even then they only work so well. So you really need the seafood.

Antibiotics aren't really good for bacteria long term, they'll come back in force after. Short term they may help. After you get off them find some kefir with acidophilus listed first or 2nd to replace the friendly bacteria they destroyed. Studies show less illness when you have these bacteria, even outside the stomach in places such as the lungs and elsewhere. You want friendly bacteria to fill the void when the antibiotics stop, not harmful ones.

In the short term you might also try 100,000+ iu retinol vitamin A (a megadose, and too much for normal use) or one of the acne drugs that is similar to retinol vitamin A. It's some minor harm to your organs, but it helps against bacteria on your skin. At least it doesn't have the other long term drawbacks to your skin that antibiotics and many scrubs do.

If you would like to learn how to treat your acne permanently and regain your health and wellbeing, without drugs, without typical acne treatments, and without any side effects, then this will be the most important letter you will ever read.

Severe acne is really a subjective description. Its usually just acne that is on multiple parts of the face or body, red and inflammed with multiple lesions (pimples or cysts). Severe acne can respond to over the counter treatments and a good skin care regime. If it doesnt respond to that I'd suggest seeing a dermatologist (a skin doctor) to get some antibiotics or other specific treatments for the acne. There are a number of different forms of acne so it's best that a doctor assesses what is best for you. Good luck and persist!!

I feel your pain and boy have i been there. The good news is you can gloat when you're thirty and get carded still- because you will.

But anyway, a couple of things are possible. One, it could be related to something internal. You might just have to kill the bacteria utterly. They're reluctant to do this these days but when I was younger I was put on antibiotics for three years running. THAT worked. As did Retin-A, which peels off the top layer of your skin.

You might also be ********* out more than you need to and your skin is producing oils in self defense. You might just want to find one regime and stick to it. I reccommend the Body Shop's tea tree oil products. For one thing, the spot treatment will blitz any pimple you have- it'll grow noticeably smaller in a couple of hours. The gel moisturizer is wonderful, and tea tre oil is antibacterialso you will be fighting the breakouts on that level, too.

Speaking of, you could also seek herbal terapy in things like an infusion of marigolds or comfrey. These are very good for your skin, and comfrey is good for scarring- in case your acne has got to that point.

Good luck. You didn't say what age you were but if you're under 20, let me just say you'll probably hit 23 and wonder where this beautiful person came from. You may get periodic breakouts much later in life but when you're young it's the worst and getting over that is fantastic.

One thing you could try is leaving it alone for a month or so and see what happens. Maybe all the messing with it and taking stuff for it is screwing up your body's ability to take care of it on its own. It could also be stress related, but if you've had it since the 3rd grade it probably isn't. Ask your dermatologists if he thinks surgery is right for you. Have you tried birth control pills? That helps out a lot of girls with acne. Good luck. Think pretty thoughts.

In the site I have found informs you about all kinds of treatments

Same sample of the kind of information you can write here (copy of site) :

There is a relatively new treatment available now for those who suffer from bothersome acne. This treatment is a laser with a clear light, and it is called the ClearLight laser. This laser is not just for the face, but works equally well on all parts of the body, with no currently known side effects, the ClearLight laser is perfectly safe for almost anyone to use.

Hopes this will help you

Ask a dermatologist to give you the drug "Accutane." It works on really severe acne. It changes the way your sebaceous glands produce oil, making them a lot less active. Without all the excess oil, your skin can't trap as much dirt, and your acne clears up really, really well. It's expensive if you don't have health insurance, and even if you do, it can be hard to take the drug (it causes really bad depression in some people and women have to be tested once a month for pregnancy, since it causes birth defects) but it's worth it because it makes your skin absolutely gorgeous.

You sound like you have sacrificed a lot to try to clear up your skin. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water! I have also noticed that when I am cheek to cheek with my boyfriend, his oils get on my face and it makes me break out. I have tried many things like yourself. I am currently using Biore Pore Minimizing cleanser and refiner. I have had much luck with that brand! I also found a product called Scar Zone Acne. You put it on the affected areas. Not only does it make the acne go away, it makes the scars vanish! I noticed a difference in the two times I used that product. I have used it for about a week now and my face looks totally different! I wish I would have taken a before picture. I got it for about $6.00 at a drug store.

Below are the links so you can learn more about these products and read reviews of other users.

Good Luck!

Remember to drink lots of water through out the day!!!
