Jesus ~
I've been around boxing practically my entire life and I honestly don't remember seeing one person in the gym squatting anything. It's all a matter of bending ones knees and rotating at the waist. Boxer's and heavyweights and exercises like squatting don't exactly mix.
Thanks for the question Jesus.

You don't necessarily need to "squat" in boxing but you need great leg, hip and back conditioning, strength and coordination. So it's not so important to do just squats as it is to do exercises that promote leg hip and back conditioning, strength and coordination. Exercises to accomplish this would be: squats using your own body weight, jump roping, jogging, sprinting, incline running and running in sand (softer the better). I wouldn't recommend using any heavy weights, as using heavy weights doesn't coincide with the conditioning and coordination needed in boxing, NOT to say that heavy weight lifting doesn't require conditioning or coordination, it just requires a different kind of conditioning and coordination. I would recommend using 5 pound ankle weights when doing general boxing training or when doing the above mentioned exercises.

You don't squat, it's more of a fighting stance when one foot is in front of the other and you bend at the knees a little.
It helps with balance especially when being punched.

Not necessarily squats but...
It helps a lot if you work on your fast twitch muscle.
A good workout would be hangclean.
It's mostly about explosiveness.

Depends really on your style, for a skilful boxer who constantly"bobs and weaves" it is crucial and benefical that he preforms squats exercise, also promotes flexibility

I don't. I do dead lifts but you have to do it properly or you'll injur yourself. It IS a good idea to get used to running. Three minutes is a long time when you're fighting.
