Recently, my curiousity got the better of me and have ventured into the Internet to hook up (strictly in the electronic sense) with a guy. From the very start, we agreed that it's just gonna be a game between us, nothing more, nothing less. We e-mail each other regularly but it seems like we got stucked at the "teasing" stage. I suppose I am expecting fireworks, even if it's just a game but I doubt if it would ever come to that. I feel like I'm left hanging and it sucks! (for lack of a better word). How do I get out of this without hurting his feelings? He seems to be a really nice guy and admittedly, I do like him. Can you help me please? I really can use some words of wisdom right now. Many thanks.

And NO, I'm not looking for new playmates. I've learned my lesson.

Just stop emailing, etc. Good luck.

Little Girl, you will go to the program and erase / delete your name and get rid of the icon off your screen right now! How dare you even speak of not wanting to hurt some perverts feelings!!
If I catch you back on line at that sight again, I'll take the computer and sell it at a yard sale. I don't care if you say you need it for homework. I'll get you an old time typewriter.
When you completely disappear, he will assume..
1. your computer is broke 2. Your mother found out 3. You don't want to continue the chat. (and as you say, that's ALL that it was) or 4. Your father found out and he's looking for him. or maybe 5. all of the above.
Listen to me.. this is some old guy sitting at his computer, in his underwear, stinking of gin and dirty socks. Its no great loss, so grow up and don't give it a second thought. He is chatting up several young girls, that he laughs about, and tells his drunken friends about.

Since you havent exchanged phone numbers or other personal info (such as school, work, real names, pictures?!) the easiest way would be to stop responding to his emails. You can either take more time between them and just make them boring and distant, or just break it off. In the electronic age its easy to have a short attention span.

You don't get out of it without some hurt feelings but that's just life. Tell him that you like him but that you don't think you're connecting on the level you want to and that you want to move on.

Do you want to keep being friends with this guy? If its just an internet thing, either cut it off completely or just say that you dont want to do keep doing that anymore.
