She's had it for a couple of months now. However none of the doctors we went to though it was ringworm. We finally went to a dermatologist and after the 2nd visit he diagnosed it. Now considering that I've made physical contact with my wife and my daughter has made contact as well. I would of thought what she had has spread to me and my daugther as well. But we didnt' get anything. Is ringworm a sign of a weak immune system?

Ringworm is a contagious fungus. You catch it usually from sand that cats have been in.

No it is not a sign of a weak immune system. Ring worm is a form of a yeast so it is not a weak immune system.

NO if someone healthy touched where the site was at they would get it..ring-worm is in the same family as yeast infection and athletic foot is,,you have to get meds from a doctor to get rid of it,it;s catchy but nit in the same way a cold is,you have to touch the site to get it,sometime there little scabs and if you don;t know what it is you could spread it really easy....lol

I don't think it has anything to do with your immune system. I got it when I was in college. About four years ago. It took me months to get rid of it. It kept spreading to other parts of my body. I did not give it to anyone I came in contact with though. It is just a irritation and will go away. You just have to be careful.
