Well, this is a really difficult question. I would say allow yourself to mourn the loss of the relationship and then try to get back into the swing of things. Of course there are going to be things that remind you, but you must accept that it is over. Reconnect with your friends, spend time with family. Catch up on movies or books that you haven't seen/read. Seize the opportunity to hang out late since you probably didn't much while you were dating. There is no quick and easy cure, but certainly DO NOT sit around on your couch and look at old photos. The sooner you accept that it is over and make an effort to get on with life, the better off you'll be. Best of luck to you!!

You may never actually forget him/her...but you can put some distance behind you with him by moving on to others, open up your life to other possibilities. Start an exercise group, develop a hobby, go out and meet new people, try a church group whether you belong to the church, or not...Time as well will lessen the hurt/anger/disappointment, and you have to allow that to pass and be good to yourself in the meantime...Not easy, but can be done, and its WORTH IT...BELIEVE ME!

In time that will happen. But try doing very active things to keep your mind and self busy. Setting around will only make it worse so go jogging, hiking,go to the zoo give all the animals different names just don't set still and give your brain and heart thinking of the ex time . JUST GET BUSY!!!

What are you? Canned Herring. You don't forget your ex, and you never will. I've got three ex's and they are always running around in my memory. What would never be, get real used to it. Several girlfriends are in there with them, talk about a harum.

Try some diversional activities that really interest you (hobbies, sports, etc...) to keep you busy for a while until you learn to forget your ex & finally move on again with your life. Good luck. (--,)

Pretend the ex is dead and therefore you have no option to rekindle the flame. It'll just be a sad memory.
