Don't get involved. I see heartbreak on the horizon. Don't be a part of the mess that is forming in the storm clouds. Two is company, three is a crowd, and four is serious bad news for everybody.
Look around for a new person that you can chat up and find out about. The new guy might be the light of your life. The one you will be happy with is hidden behind the thunderheads right now, but there will be a silver lining if you don't get caught in the downpour.

All is fair in love and war. Go for it. Chances are that since you already know that he likes another girl (your best friend), you'll probably cause a lot of tension and probably lose all your friends and the guy, but hey, that's life. You'll never know unless you try.
It's better to do something and fail than do nothing and win, ya know?

You should find someone else to like. Why would you want a guy who doesn't liek you. You should find someone that is into you. If you wait around for this guy you'll never know if he really wants you or if he is settling cause he can't have your friend.

Well you can't make someone love your or want to date you so I would move on. The fact that he likes your best friend who has a boyfriend is his problem not yours.
