Maybe he thought you called him your brother so your co-workers would think you are "available." Try to explain to him your reasoning, and if that doesn't work, you might have to come clean to your co-workers (the ones who might be interested in your "availability.").

No, he's being ridiculous. Usually you are only allowed to use those discounts for family and yourself or you'll get fired. Tell him to get over himself.
