from what i think bmw are better because of their qualtiy and performance let me know what you think

Personally I prefer BMW's, I can't believe so many people think Merc's are better. It depends what you want, I think the Merc's are for the older generation (being polite), they are nowhere near as fun to drive as the BMW. My first "nice" car was a BMW 320i and it was great and then I bought a Merc SLK and found it to be really boring in comparison, so treated myself to a 330ci BMW, what a relief, it was sooooooo much more fun to drive than the Merc! Timewise I owned the BMW's for about 6 years in total and the Merc for about 1 and mechanically never had any problems with both.

I had a BMW 7 years ago and I liked it, I only sold it when it reached 10 years old and I became fed up of people joking about me being a drug dealer (which I'm not, but around here, that's what people associate BMW's with). I have since had an Audi which was incredibly expensive to fix every time something went wrong with it - eventually sold it a couple of years ago even though it was only a 51 plate - and lost a lot of money on it. I now have a Mercedes Kompressor and it is fantastic, far superior in my opinion than the other 2 . From now on I will always buy Mercedes.

You cannot say that one marque is better than the other in an overall sense. A love the M5 and M3 but Mercedes have some immensely expensive and powerful cars at the top end of the price range. Overall I prefer the BMW engines but the Mercedes exude more class.

The only BMWs worth owning are the M3 and M5.. The smaller 3 series have taken over where the Ford Sierra left off i.e Rep. cars. A mercedes, with the exception of the A-Class and B-Class, is a quality vehicle and whilst they both have issues with regards to reliability the Mercedes is generally a far better car.

Sad to say, Yes BMW is better than Mercedes. I've been in both, drove both, and I have to say that BMW is the best. I still want a Mercedes though...

my experience having owned both a Mercedes v280 and BMW 525SE i would defiantly say BMW they look better there comfortable nice to drive unlike the Mercedes which is just a on going expense

A bloke in a merc is a rich git who's just flashing the cash and works for a hair dresser. a guy in a beamer is a self certifyed **** but with good reason, as he's driving one of the few cars that dont make him look gay, is a beefy enough car to make him look like a man and still draws attention to himself.
In short a bmw is a CAR a merc is a accessory.

In my experience BMWs do have a greater number of rude and vulgar drivers than any other executive car. It is if the chaps in string vests who used to drive Granadas have come into money. The Mercedes has much more class irrespective of other comparisons.

bmw have lost the plot with there design so at the minute mercedes is better but the bmws of old will never be beaten alpina, hartage m1 m3 m5 m6 750il and 850csi truely the best cars ever
