60% - very high - and it is very saturated (has lots of cholesterol).

Coconut oil/fat has been on the comeback for @10 years now. It was blasted in the early 80s due to its cholesterol content, yet at the time researchers did not know the cholesterol from the coconut was medium chain and actually good for you...not sure of the fat content tho...

Yes there is a lot of fat in coconut, but it is good fat. check out the website below. Just coz something is high in fat does NOT mean it is bad.

It is high in fat, fresh coconut is 41% fat most of it saturated, Desiccated coconut is 28% fat.
