In England £60.00 + 3 penalty points. Points on licence for 3 years.

The price of the ticket depends on several things. The first is your jurisdiction--your state and or local area will have its own prices for how much speeding tickets are. Beyond that, how fast you were going is another determinant of the price of the ticket. The categories are generally 1-9 mph over, 10-19 mph over, etc etc. On your ticket, usually on the back, there is a listing of how much each category is. Finally, it depends on how the officer classified your ticket. If he wrote that you were going 34 in a 25, he gave you a break and you'll only have to pay for the 1-9 category. As for your driving record, how many points each ticket is depends upon what state you live in. Usually, however, these points can only be removed after several years of ticket-free driving. For example, in New Jersey, you would be given two points, and each year, a certain number of points is removed from your license for driving without committing an offense.

Shouldn't be no more than $100. If you didn't go to court then it won't clear off for two years... it's stuck. But if you're set to go to court, and it's your first offense, you could get off with no points, no record, and just pay the ticket maybe even getting that reduced. The judge will ask you what do you plead, and you will want to plead guilty w/an explanation, explain to him why you were giong 35 in a 25 (ticket for that? that's crazy) and it's your first offense. I can't see how you won't get off.

In CA and here in WA, the officer usually writes the fine on the ticket. Usually it is about $50 for every 5 miles over. So your's will be about $100. Take the traffic school and clear the point off your record. If they offer online school, do that, it's SO EASY!

Ha! I was going 41mph in a 25mph zone, and mine was $178.! You have to pay the full amount to not get arrested. I don't know if they take it off your record or not. That would be good to know though.

The waiver is different everywhere.

In my area for 10 over it would be a $110.00 waiver.
