I have to admit women seem to confuse me I hear from female friends how they seem to want a best friend especially when looking for a long term relationship, yet most of my female friends seem to in action actually seperate the two (which obviously can complicate things) but at the same time I have heard that women dont in fact want a friend just a lover. Which of the three options is it for most especially when looking for a long term relationship. I mean do most want just a lover, do they just want more of a friend or do they want a more balance of both. Obviously sex complicates things often times which is is why I try to focus more on just making her smile & finding a balance between the two so it doesn't have to be complicated yet as much as they seem to love that about me even my female friends it seems to scare them away too. Its so confusing & I'm so tired of trying to read a woman's mind as to finding a happy balance for both of us. So which option do most women seem to choose

Try to stop figuring out the motivating force in women's lovelife decisions. They usually go for a bad boy and try to fix him. Every nice guy loses waiting for a decent chance (come to think of it the bad boy loses too when his sh*t gets jumped).

well in my opinion if you are looking for long term as far as marriage then you have to have a balance of both. anyone can have a lover...but not everyone confides in a lover when they are having problems...but everyone, and i do mean everyone confides in their best friend...its just human nature...and not only that...if they are your best friend that obvioulsy means they have never done you wrong and you trust them, which is a key factor in any relationship...so you just need to find a woman who is a friend and a lover...she can come to you and you to her and yet you can still seem to make sweet love and not let it complicate your friendship...dont let it get you down, alot of women dont know what they want anymore than they know what they wanna wear the next day!! good luck

I would have to go with wanting a best friend especially when looking for a long term relationship. But it sucks when the two breaks up because you can possibly lose both!

dont try to choose between the options...go with the flow...you dont always have to read our mind to make us happy.. be yourself and it will make things much less complicated..
if not be a friend, be caring and considerate and the love will come
hope this helps..

They want just a friend, then if your really nice to them and care about them, they want a lover!

i need the balance. if my bf's treating me like just a friend, then it's time for us to be just friends. but while sex isn't everything, it's very important to the relationship, to maintain intamacy, if nothing else.
