wow that's pretty big .most girls would jump at the opportunity to do something like that if you feel your lady friend is hesitant give her some security by maybe giving her a copy of your photo id and a back ground check if your really smitten with her you shouldn't mind and it would put her and her family at ease .hope all goes well and you enjoy your trip.

I would definitely not go. Not only is it taking a risk being alone with a man you don't know well enough (and feeling dependent/obligated to him), but you might also be seen as someone who is ready to jump into something like this with a man too soon, even though he dearly wishes you go with him.
Hold back, I would say...
There will be another opportunity if he sticks anyway.
