Last time I checked, Canada's decision to legalize gay marriage didn't bring OUR civilization crashing down in ruins. Same with Belgium and Spain.
So obviously, legalizing homosexuality doesn't lead to apocalypse and ruin.
Therefore, why criminalize it again? Because your Pastor doesn't like it (or perhaps he likes it a little too much)? Fortunately for the rest of us, the USA is NOT a theocracy, and the rules of your religion are not randomly legislated into laws that everyone else has to follow.

What I want to know is WHY are Christians so obsessed with homosexuality? They're OBSESSED! It's like there's nothing else in the entire world that's more important. There ARE other things in the Bible besides the two or three teeny little quotes about homosexuality. A LOT of other things. And those things are WAY more important in the Bible than homosexuality. Maybe your Pastor should stop spreading ignorance and hate, and concentrate on telling his congregants to do things that can actually HELP to make this world a better place. Condemning homosexuals does not make this world a better place. It benefits NO ONE.

Take presidential promise with a grain of salt, by using fact the thought anybody would desire to try this like they have in Iran is stupid. of course making homosexuality unlawful could be incorrect, yet all of this purely sounds like wild propaganda for the time of an election 365 days, very comparable to how human beings reported Obama could make us all socialist/communist. in spite of his own ideals as they are, I doubt he would desire to limit homosexuality without congress and the SC from checking that concept.

OK. I read you. Did your pastor say anything about all the heterosexuals committing adultery, murder, rape, child-molesting,etc.? Or, for that fact, all the religious people who do these things? Can we outlaw them, too? Or did your "pastor" forget that God said His people should not do these things either, but they do? Or is it that your pastor is really a "closet doubter" of God and is really putting his faith in government? Look- I'm a believer in God, and I'm not one of those "believe everything, accept everything, tolerate everything, love everyone" types who just wants to "feel good" and make EVERYONE happy with my beliefs. But whether it's doing what he suggests with homosexuals or someone else, where would it stop? Who's next on his sh*t list? Putting gays behind bars is not going to make his world any safer or less immoral; it's only going to hasten the inevitable view that what gays, atheists, and others who say what they do about Christianity is in fact true. The mandate of God to believers was not to judge in themselves what measures to take against those in the world who don't live or believe as we do, but to follow His word and not stir up anything that would bring dishonor or contempt on Him or His Word. That is what your pastor has done and God is his judge. Let me refresh your "pastor's" memory in the Word of God at James 4:12- "There is one Lawgiver and Judge who is able to save and to destroy; who are YOU to judge another?" If you really care more about God and His Word, don't listen to a mere man.

Your Pastor is entitled to his opinions, however I disagree with the so-called government making any laws that pertain to individual / private life choices... and albeit I do not easily stomach the so-called "Gay Lifestyle" I do respect the rights of all people, however I draw the line regarding certain members of various organizations that attempt to force people to accept, and even worse convince others that the "Gay Lifestyle" is as good if not better than a heterosexual lifestyle via propaganda...

How can that be when there are homosexuals in government positions now? You know, the ones that like little boys? Even if homosexuality were eliminated, this world is still beyond repair by human abilities. What about war, crime, violence, food shortages, unemployment, racial tensions, gang problems, pornography, etc? Only God's kingdom in the hands of Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, will be able to correct man's problems.

It is not just moral ppl that God wants. He wants ppl that love Him and obey Him, doing what He says, because they know it is best. Homosexuality is a sin, no way around it, and that means they can change if they want. You cant legalize it, as the govt cant be in someones bedroom. But, the govt has no business getting in volved and saying that homosexual marriage is legal at all. A marriage is a man and a woman. How its always been and always will be. When ppl ignore the severe warnings from God, they bring chaos and calmity on this nation. Once abortion was made legal, and they took prayer from schools, and then said being homosexual was ok, look at our country.. Seem to be getting any better, or any more moral to you. God doesnt want obedience from force. He wants it bedcause we love Him and want to Obey Him.
But, to those that go along with this and say its ok, all will answer to God for bringing such horrible sin to this world and condoning it . We are told what sin is and we are to say it and do so proudly, not tiptoeing, but we are to love the sinner, be kind to them and keep on praying and forgiveing them. To love like Jesus loves, yet calling sin as the sin it is.
Disobedience leads to destruction and hell. Obedience comes from blessing. America will be moral and loving, if ppl will only follow God because they choose to. He forces noone.

Nice pastor..........
My guess is that if you go to your local truck stop, park and sit every night for a week, it won't be long until you notice your pastor's station wagon shaking in the shadows.
Usually people who go out of their way to attack the Gays are struggling with homosexuality of their own. You may want to ask him why he thinks that making homosexuality illegal will stop him from thinking about it?

You can't make someone be a moral person, through making something illegal. You make moral people by right teaching and raising children with honor and dignity. By teaching them to value themselves and each other. To stand for what is right and true and just.
If you make homosexuality illegal the jails would be even more overcrowded, and our judicial system even more overtaxed. Causing more crime, more taxes, more anger and anguish.
Start with prayer. remember 2nd Chronicles 7:14
If my people would humble themselves and pray... that is the start. for christians to pray and expect results.

This country is the largest of only a few God fearing nations. Despite our flaws, God still blesses us to help others. Normally if one were to be for the legalization of something, it is generally because that person secretly wants to at least try it for themselves. If you pastor knew or believed enough of the Word of God, understood God's standpoint on this issue, used plain common sense, he wouldn't say that (at least out loud). If anyone goes to hell because of that statement, their blood and the blood of anyone else who they talk into doing such abominations will God require on his hands.
Homosexuality is an 'abomination' in God's eyes, one of satan's cold hearted plans to cause mankind to destroy themselves by invoking judgment, and an ungodly way for people to deny their true God created individual selves for preservation of the species. No matter how hard people try, the woman's eggs or the man's sperm have to join together for procreation. It is the part of the final stage before judgement commences.
God gave Adam and Eve, a man and a woman, to be 'fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth'. They were commanded to procreate. Homosexuality is a diabolical and devilish attempt to exterminate mankind. Satan wants to hurt the very heart of God for throwing him out of Heaven. The only way he has to hurt God is by hurting the 'crowning' of his creation, man.
Sorry, I almost forgot! No I don't agree with him.
P.S.- If he really means that, you might want to find a more God obeying/loving church. Just a thought.
