Ive been having this horrible pain for about 2 weeks now. I figured it would go away quickly, but it hasn't. Whenever I swallow (any food or drink) I get a bad pain in my back..about halfway down. I also sometimes get this pain in my throat like theres a pill stuck (thats what it feels like) but its not nearly as bad as the back pain. I really have no idea what this is. Im going to see chriopractor this week (for other reasons), but im just wondering if anyone has any ideas what this could be?

Thanks a lot.

sounds like esophageal spasms. Do you have refux? Even if you don't know it, you can still be having spasms. My brother had those, and his doctor put him on antacids and medicine for the gut, something like Tagamet. Helped him alot. He's supposed to watch his food intake, little spice, very little coffee, no smoking. All in all, he's much better now.
Either that, or you could have a hiatel hernia, or stricture of the esophagus. I think you need an appt. with your GP myself, not chiropractor.

I guess it might be food stuck down your throat pipe. This is somewhat worst than indigestion. This happened to me before when i ate a whole apple with its skin and did not chew it well. I did not know what it was but i tried coughing it out after a week or two. The skin of the apple had been there the whole time. You may try this but it might hurt your throat a bit or you may eat cassava or other hard foods to push it down.If none works you should then see a doctor.(use also soothing liquids like honey, you don't want to cause damage to your throat pipe).

When you are taking your nutrients attempt to drink a complete glass of liquid, milk or water and spot if that is helping. If the soreness on your esophagus persists you will have to see your healthcare professional. Acid reflux is not anything to clutter round with.

Is it a shrap pain across the back? Could be a kidney situation. maybe see a doctor, not a chiro.
