Is it better to take long strides but fewer of them, or shorter ones but faster? I have longer legs then most people an im like 5'5". Around. And people say to breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth, but when running a mile, I find it easier to breathe through my mouth so does it really matter?

It really all depends on what your are comfortable with. I like shorter strides when I am running in a race, but mix it up when I am training. I find it easier to run heal - toe with the shorter stride. I breath with my mouth, but always with rhythm. In fact, I find that breathing rhythm is the most important thing to my success.

if u think about it if u want to run further and longer, u want longer strides. shorter stride, more steps means more energy output. ull tire out faster. the problem with breathing in thru mouth is that that is also where u breathe out meaning more engery being used and time wasted. in nose out mouth gives better flow. if u watch runners in olympics or short races like mile and stuff the ppl got super long strides thats why they tell u when running to lift knees as high as possible.

The breathing really matters, in through your nose and out through your mouth helps your body get enough 02. If you dont have muscle pains or anything while breathing through your mouth, then fine.

As far as the strides, I dont really think it matters. All I know is that it should be quick (the whole running thing means your moving quickly) and relaxed. Run as you are comfortable.

it's best to take quick, long strides. between the two you wrote i would say long strides but fewer of them because since you have long legs, it would be easier for you and you would use less energy. for the breathing, it is easier to breathe through your mouth, but after a while, your mouth will get dry, and you'll find that you really need water. that part doesn't matter much, though.

Yes it does matter. Breathe through your mouth you're apt to hyperventillate. The long haul - short strides. It's for endurance. You start doing long strides you'll wreck something. Build up to it. Ultimately, most people put a lot of stock on the sprint. Speed isn't an issue. It's a bonus you get anyway after you've done the road work. Carefully, persistently, intelligently. Don't forget to stretch. Nutrition. Water.

Your strides aren't the important part, as long as you are moving and you are comfortable (well as comfortable as one can be when running!) then either will work. As far as your breathing, it is better for your lungs to breath in your nose, helps them expand better. But if that doesn't work for you, don't worry about it. What matters is you are running in the first place!

When I was younger I use to breath through my mouth and found it gave me a cramp and so I have taught myself to breath in my nose. But like I said, whatever works is what you should stick with!

Breathe through your nose and out your mouth. Longer strides if you can, but usually long distances. Short quick bursts for shorter distances might be better for you. That's the whole point though - what works for you. Try everything.

Everyone is different. Out through mouth and in through nose is ideal but people can't get a good hang of that so I recommend singing with music, it regulates your breathing. Also, longer strides are better, you're actually working less that way but working out your muscles better!

Its gigantic from 3 matters: Stretched and vulnerable ab muscle groups, extra meals at the back of it, layers of fats over it. Attack all 3: a million. Pull in and maintain the muscle groups in general (all day lengthy), and likewise do crunches WHILE protecting it in. two. Eat much less. As the muscle groups tighten, you'll be able to devour much less. three. Do lengthy aerobic to burn off additional energy. You'll have got to get outdoor as a fitness center may not help you hog a treadmill for 60-ninety mins a ta time such as you have got to do. Its complicated to lose greater than two-four kilos per week.

I chew gum, it helps keep my mouth moist, and breath in & out of my mouth. But you should do what feels comfortable. Keep your strides even, but don't feel like your "reaching", but not too short, either.
