Acne body wash is good, but also make sure she is drinking plenty of water and not soda. Fried, greasy food is also bad and can cause acne. She might need to change up her diet.

She should get a body wash from a drugstore that is targeted towards body acne. It should have salicylic acid or benzoyle peroxide. She needs to be careful she doesn't scrub too hard or wash too much, as this can aggravate acne and make it worse. She should also look at her birth control. If she is using it she may need to reduce the hormone level and if she's not using it, she should start. This will regulate her hormones which play a huge part in how often someone breaks out.

I have tried every remedy under the sun. Body washes (even face washes) tea treatments, homeopathic remedies... everything. Ive gone to the dermatologist and still nothing that worked. After 26 years of struggle I inadvertantly ran into something that helped. I started to go to a tanning salon (no its not good for you, but I started going before my honeymoon so that I would not burn in the Carribian) and I found that if I go 1x a week for 4 min only I get no tan color but my skin is clear as a babys. I spoke to my dermatologist about this and he said that as long as its once a week on the lowest time setting I should be fine and avoid skin cancer. If your girl friend does try this rout I would tell her to make sure that she uses a stand up machine because they are much more sanitary. Before she tries something like this though, its worth her time to go to a dermatologist. They may have something that will work for her (where in my case nothing they had did) and may be healthier for her body than my method (even though it was approved by my dermatologist). I wish your girl the best of luck, skin acne is the worst and embarasing too.

The best solution for acne of this type is simple. Eat healthy foods like plenty of veggies and little grease, get exercise that produces a higher metabolism and sweating to clean out the pores, and use a facial treatment on the parts of the body that have acne. I reccommend Dr. Thayer's witch hazel for this. It clears pores, feels good, comes in scents like Lavender, Rose or Lemon, and also gets makeup or hair dye off beautifully.

i was involved in a lot of athletic activiites when i was in higschool so i know what she's going through.
does she have a good facewash that she likes?
she should try using it on her body, too...or she can see if her favorite brand makes an acne fighting body wash.
i know neutrogena makes a good one.

i personally use a face wash from noxema called "continuos clean microbead cleanser"

if she plays sports or has p.e. at school and can't shower in the middle of the day, she could keep a container of those acne-fighting face pads in her back pack (think oxy, noxema, clearasil, etc) and use them to quickly wipe down her back before putting her regular clothes on.

While it took little less than two months for me to really see a difference, my acne, blackheads and whole lot of other skin problems I had such as eczema had completely cleared! It was totally amazing...

Neutrogena makes a body wash that's specifically for treating acne. It has salicilic acid in it.
