depending on the haircut and content of the ipod, i think your idea is closer to postmodernism. But really, you can't change Jesus, only your idea of him. And that's happening all the time as people refuse to read the bible and just make up whatever they want to believe.

He is already "modern", in that he is always here and now, no matter what time and place it is. If you are just talking about modernizing the way we depict him in art, that's a different issue. On the one hand, it's a fact that he was incarnate in bodily form once, at a particular time and place. So we have in the back of our minds a picture of a man belonging to that particular setting. On the other hand, artists have always depicted Jesus as their own contemporary, as a way of reflecting the truth of his eternal presence. ( I have a great picture of "The Good Shepherd" which shows Jesus in worn jeans and a denim jacket, sitting on the back of a grimy pickup truck with the lost lamb protected in his lap, its head leaning against him, while he bandages its leg.)

The Word (Bible) says He is the same yesterday, today and forever. He doesn't need to change He's perfect. If you don't believe me find out for yourself. Get to know Him. He loves YOU!!! If this makes you angry maybe you should ask yourself WHY... if it weren't real or true it wouldn't bother you.

jesus did not have long hair. in the pictures he did, but that was when the rennasance was going on. that is when everybody had long hair. so he does not need a hair cut. he also said that" to be in the world not of it." forget the ipod. he is so awesome he doesn't need those things.
