1st Everyone is right. It depends on how much financial aid you are recieving and how much your tuition and fees are.

2nd The typical amount is about 2,000 dollars (if you are on a 3 term school, 2,000 each term)

3rd You can go to your financial aid office after you recieve your award letter, or call the schools 1-800#, and they will be able to tell you.

4th You can get a work-study job or an on campus job. They are part time and work with your student schedule. They are typically between 6 - 20 hours per week. This can provide extra money.

Hope this helps.

Financial aid is based on your income taxes primairly. Financial aid usually has a limit on how much one student can get. For example, where I go to school, the financial aid limit is 4,500 dollars. They ask for income tax statement from the previous year to identify how much they will pay out to you.
If you made a certain amount from, we'll represent by 'X', then they will give you less since you were able to save your money for school purposes. If you were unemployed for the year, then they will hand you the maximum amount of money they are able to give. This is from experience, and counseling from the financial aid adviser.

It just depends on how much your tuition is. At my school all types of Financial Aid go straight to your tuition first and then what ever remains is sent to you in a check. It also depends on your financial need that the government decides on to let you know how much you are eligible for. If you know this info let me know, and I can see what I can do to give you an estimated amount.
