Dobermans are a very dominant breed of dog and require tons of training and exercise. They also have to have many types of testing done to check for genetic problems before breeding. They are very prone to many types of cancers and cardio myothopy. They can have thyroid problems and many have a bleeding disoreder similar to hemophelia in humans.
They are great dogs but be prepared to outlay a fair amount of time and money to get a pair the is of good enough quality to breed and the have all the testing done.
Australian Sheperds are great dogs with lots of energy. I am not familiar enough with the breed to know much about what testing needs to be done prior to breeding.
Boxers are good dogs and lots of fun. They are a less dominant type dog and more social and outgoing. They have some genetic stuff they need to be screened for also but not as much as the dobermans.
All are good dogs but each very different. You need to make a choice based on how much time and work you are willing to put into a dog. Dobes can be high maintainence dogs as can boxers. Look carefully at each breeds profiles and be realistic about how much time you have for training and for grooming and all that type of stuff and which breed will fit into your lifestyle. Pick the one the best fits in.

I don't know a whole lot about dobermans. But the ones that I have met were pretty layed back sweet dogs. And I like australian shepherds, but only if they have a job. The ones that I have met are SO high energy. They need lots of exercise and mental stimulation. I have met people who got them because they are pretty, but they live in a small house with a small yard and work 40 hours a week. The dogs are usually unhappy, and misbehave, only because they are bored and frustrated. So you just need the time and room to exercise them. And Boxers are my FAVORITE. Not just of these three, but of almost all dog breeds. They are happy, playful, goofy, loving. They also need a lot of exercise, but not as much as an aussie. But when breeding boxers you have to be responsible, because they tend to have a lot of health issues. You will want to do a lot of reasearch on the breed before you start breeding them. But otherwise excellent dogs.

That is my opinion on these dog breeds. I think you should talk to different breeders of these dogs and find out what goes into each breed. And also do your own research through the internet and good books. Good Luck!

I think any decision on breeding has to be based in passion for the breed and intimate knowledge of the breed. I would say, start researching these breed, find the one that holds your interest and then begin learning more about the breed and seeing if you can find a mentor. Keep in mind that most breeders will not trust you with a breeding quality animal unless you have proven yourself as a handler or as someone dedicated to the breed so it's best to start off showing as a handler, find a mentor and then work your way up.

Boxers

If you haven't dealt with the pure breeds before, I would recommend Boxers, as they are less dominant and easier to live with in a home with more than one. ..
However, all of those breeds HAVE to be tested for genetic defects, as they are carriers of many problems.
expect to pay at least $1,000 for breeding quality dogs, and another $1,000 each in genetic testing of your 2 year olds before breeding them.
Dobermans are VERY often horrible moms, and herding dogs require a LOT of training/handling/attention.

SC has excellent advice that you would be wise to listen. Study, study, and more study.
Attend dog shows in your area, and see each of those breeds at their best..Talk to any local breeders exhibiting there, and you just may be lucky enough to find a mentor!
Only approach them 'after' they have come out of the ring.

BOXER!! I have one. I love that dog and they are very popular. They are good with kids as well as being protective. Their only downfall is their adolescene. they stay puppies for a while and are quite rambuncious. i paid $375.00 for mine and that was because he was white. fawn and brindle go for $500-$1000.
