A - Limewire is not harmful to your computer. That is an urban myth.
B - Ares is not harmful to your computer, either
Any harm is from a virus you may download. DO NOT download executable files from any P2P network. There are no Limewire or Ares virii, unlike Kazaa, for which virii were specifically written.

Hello!
Well Ares,similar to limewire is a P2P client which means that it may harm your computer depending on what you are downloading,and most importantly from which user are you downloading.
You really dont know if your peers from whom you are downloading have some sort of viruses or trojans in store for you.
So,just watch out!!

No P2P is harmful but it depends on the files you download. If yo u download .exe or .msi files which are installer programs, they're harmful. If you download music and videos, they're not harmful
