I don't know if you ever read the Bible but in the New Testament there is a book called 1Timothy. He says in chapter 6 verse 10."For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs." Sometimes people misquote the verse and say "Money is the root of all evil", but if you read the verse again, it doesn't say that. It says that the LOVE for money is the root of all evil. According to the Bible the root of all evil is the love for the money.

Many have mis-quoted the bible saying that MONEY is the root of all evil but the scripture actually reads to say that "the LOVE OF MONEY is the root of all evil". Money in and of itself is not bad but loving money can lead to greed and careless choices in life in order to gain access to it.Other scripture says" I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord...plans to prosper you, not to harm you" God wants his children to prosper. He just does not want us to worship money the way we should be worshipping Him. The commandment that says that you shalt have no other Gods before me also includes inanimate objects we may value more than God like money. Money can also be a false idol depending on the context.Go ahead..make money...be prosperous, but never forget who gave you that blessing. It is God and He can take it away just as surely as He blessed you with it.Enjoy the fruits of your labour but never forget to Honour God first with your tithe and be thankful to Him for allowing you to be prosperous.Put God first in your life and you will be the richest of all no matter what your bank account balance says.
