Your brother is correct. God dosen't send anyone to hell until they have full knowledge of Him and still reject Him. God is always fair. So glad you came to the truth brother, glad to have you aboard.

When you REPENT and ASK Jesus Christ to forgive your sins he forgives ALL of them. That does not mean that one should continue to sin so that Jesus can forgive more sins, but it means the Jesus has forgiven all your past sins and will forgive your future sins if you accidently slip and do a sin.
You have to REPENT and ASK Jesus and ACCEPT his gift of forgiveness.
This is a good site to explain how: http://www.matthiasmedia.com.au/2wtl
Then you should read the Bible to GROW in your faith in Jesus Christ alone. http://www.biblegateway.com Go through the New Testament.
Study along with http://www.bible.org where you can look up a lot of information.

"Can i be dammed to hell for a sin i did in the past?"
Not if you are a Christian.
If Jesus cares for you enough to be working with you, as you say, then you are having a relationship with Him, God. You know, the one who offers salvation to those who trust Him?
Stop letting doubt affect you so much? OKAY?

People have given you some great answers. No God won't damn you to hell. You answered the question yourself.. Jesus has been working with you and you have felt him! He loves you and me and wants us all to feel of his love. He already hung on the cross and died for ALL of mankind's sin. yours, mine, everyone! All we have to do is the best we can! Once you find Jesus you will learn and grow more everyday. You will feel of his love and atoning sacrifice and have a testimony that you are one of his own sons/daughters!! Good job-- more light and truth to you!

Please don't beat yourself up over the past. when we come to Jesus & confess our sins we are forgiven; all those old sins are done away with. Isaiah 43:25 says that God blots out our sins & doesn't remember them any more. God understands that what you said you said in ignorance, remember Jesus said "Forgive them for they know not what they do" as He was being nailed to the cross. Accept God's forgiveness, forgive yourself & be @ peace.

if you have repented for past sin and accepted the blood of Jesus what is in the past is washed away. I do hope you are genuine and I pray Jesus may work in your life in a way that will guide others to the truth.

God wont condemn anyone to hell that tells God they are sorry for what they did in the past and means it. to ask for forgivenss. To turn from the sin and do it no more. God wont condemn you for that, This is what grace is for. Nothing is to big for God to forgive. BUt, we must repent or we wont be saved. ALso God required obedience of His ppl. When we do know, we must obey. He says obedience leads to blessing and disobediance leads to curse. The more we know, the more He expects of us. PPL play on dangerous ground when they know and dont obey, and God will eventually turn HIs back if you dont stop. Sin leads to death. But, when the repent and turn from sin, God will obey. But, we never know, what if we die in five min, no time to repent and stop sin. what if Jesus comes in one minute. ?? we must choose Jesus and obedience before we die or Jesus comes again. SO, putting it off thinking you have awhile is nonsense. And, GOd knows your heart. If one does that, they are lost. God knows truth.
But you say you are sorry for what you did and you didnt know. Yes, God is eager to forgive you. very eager. He weeps over each one that is lost. and how do you thank Him. By loving Him enough to obey, have victory in Christ, and leads others to HIm too. Run to Jesus today. Arms already open, He has been waiting for you.
and you know what, what someone has commited the sin that leads to God walking away, they wont worry about it. They will have no conscinece, no need of God and wont worry about being saved. The fact you do want to be saved, shows God still has His hands on you. Press on with Jesus. ann the angels in Heaven are singing once you ask God to forgive you and give you Jesus. me too. oh, I feel like singing now.
Hallelujah to the almighty God that reigns..

No matter what sin you have committed, if you accept Jesus as your savior, you will be saved, and be with him in paradise. Trust in God and his promise. If you asked for forgiviness, and repented, God will forgive, and forget. So you need to forgive yourself, and forget.

There is no sin (aside from denying Him) that will "condemn you". Otherwise why did Christ die like He did? He died for all your sins, the fact that you admitted to your sinful life and now lead a better life means that He indeed, has forgiven you.
