I don't feel that people should have to quit especially if you can maintain a "normal" life and still use it. As long as your not smoking around your child or taking care of her under the influence (it can slow your reaction time down in emergency situations) then I don't see where there would be an issue. As long as its not your life and you feel you could stop at any given time then go right ahead! But also remember that when it comes to your daughter getting to the "influenced age" what will you tell her? Will you hide it? Will you tell her you smoke? Will you tell her not to smoke and in some way be a hypocrite? Just some questions to think about before you continue to have it in your life. Good luck with your chose!

first of all, congrats on quitting. quitting ANYTHING is a long and hard process, and right now you're experiencing the crappiest part of quitting. sounds like withdrawels to me. your body became so dependent on pot that it cant get back on track now that you've stopped smoking. if you're not eatin much, you need to be drinking lots and LOTS of water. Keep your body hydrated or you're going to be feeling even worse and could potentially end up in the hospital. I cant say that I've ever experienced withdrawels from anything, so the best advice i can give is to google some natural remedies for pot withdrawels. you'll find something, trust me. just remember, its mind over matter. you'll get through this, just keep moving forward. i'm sorry i couldn't be more of a help. good luck

Wow, this sounds so much like me (except no husband). I have a 5 yr old son in a private Christian school, I also am the manager of the wonderful company that I work for, I have a degree in marketing. For several years, I smoked every day, several times. I am now severely depressed, and have just been diagnosed as bipolar II. My therapist told me that smoking pot puts permanent holes in your brain - not sure if I believe that or not. I quit more than a month ago. I sure as hell miss it, but am so grateful that I'm not a "pothead Mom" anymore. I don't think it's wrong for you to smoke occasionally, as long as you are emotionally healthy. Sounds like you have a good thing going!

You should stop smoking. Not only is it unhealthy it is illegal. Think about the example you are setting for your children! Would you want them smoking pot? I recommend you either quit yourself cold-turkey or join a clinic to stop. It is not ok to smoke pot!
I would also would like to add that you can say it is recreational and you can stop any time but if you can stop why aren't you. You know it isn't good for you so why do it. You have also proven that A lot of people smoke so all of you should be going to jail.
Your daughter will find out. And what if you have another child. Do you want them born addicted?

It's not wrong at all, hun. A lot of very successful people smoke pot. Since you are successful, that means you don't have a problem, so don't worry about it. Anyone that tells you otherwise is just upset because they can't handle it (addictive personality or such) or they have no idea what they're talking about.

It's not the worst bad habit you can have. What you don't say is why you want to quit: the risk of getting in legal trouble, the cost, the embarassment of getting caught by friends or coworkers. Then you can decide how those negative things compare with your enjoyment of pot, and make a good decision.

The smoking is really awful for your lungs. If you are a recreational user, I see no reason to stop-- but the smoking has to go. Either learn to cook with it, or buy a vaporizer. I got mine at vapir.com Yes-- you can maintain a normal life. It's much better than drinking alcohol. Don't listen to any of the over-weight angry alcohol drinking crowd who preach to you.

Kristen, Are you willing to go to jail? Pay the finds, have a record? This action can and will costs you one way or another! Are you risking losing your child? Whats so normal about smoking pot? You're risking alot of things for what the "high" you get from pot? You know.. Intelligent people sometimes dont have the wisdom to use the intelligence they have.

well i've never smoked pot, my bestfriend has, and she feels it helps to smoke every once in awhile, not addictively,
but i think yes, you can lead a normal life and smoke pot (not addictively), remember pot can be used as medicine, and was originally back in the 1800's prescribed by doctors to relieve...everything lol

I'm 27, miserably single, no children. My life sucks. I have no wonderful wife, and a non-existant child who's not in school. I'm unemployed and cant find work.
All I have to say is you're a spoiled idiot for smoking pot.
