This shouldn't be posted under "toddler and preschooler". At least I pray to God that its wrongfully posted...

Anyway, if it IS your pipe then don't lie, your mother has a right to be concerned about you smoking pot; who wants to have a drug-using child?

If it really isn't, whoever it is ought to be cut out of your life; I doubt it though, why would someone else leave a pipe in your room?

If it's yours, just fess up. What's the worst that can happen? You get grounded for a while? At least you're mom will know that you're being honest and even tho' she's angry, you can rest assured that you're not keeping anything from your mom and that trust will still be there (even if it's a little less than before). If it truly isn't yours, then you just need to tell her that it's your friend's. She'll ask which friend, of course, and you need to be honest w/ her. Tell her that you don't want to get your friend in trouble, but you felt that it was necessary to be honest w/ your mom. She'll still have the trust and will hopefully be a little more lenient on you and your "friend" will get the help that he/she needs.

This question should not be under toddler /preschooler unless you happen to be under the age of five yourself
(are you????) ,but anyway...

I don't expect her to believe you,and I know you don't expect her to believe you when you say it's not yours. You are responsible for ensuring that neither you nor your friends bring questionable items into your home, out of respect for your folks.

Apologize, don't make up any dumb excuses as this will only tick her off even more, and screen your friends more diligently in future.Change your pals if you know you're getting this mess from them. And don't start expensive habits like drugs and booze .It's already cost you your parents trust and pride in you.

First of all, this is the oldest trick in the book. Fess up, she wasnt born yesterday. Tell her the truth and she will respect you. Just dont do those sort of things anymore, join an after-school activity, do something more productive with your time rather than drugs.

Well, since you haven't been through D.A.R.E yet, let me tell you, drugs are bad. Just say no! And if anyone ever gives you something like a pipe again, tell your parents right away, don't hide it. Best regards!

Well first you need to figure out why a pipe is in your room.

You need to step up and be a responsible person. Tell her the truth and you will try to find out exactly who left it there.

If you normally don't lie to her it should be no problem telling her it is not yours. But you do need to explain how it got in your room.

Try telling the truth and find better friends.

Yeah - good luck with that.
No parent on earth is going to believe that it's not yours - even if it really isn't.
Get rid of it.
