I have heard that you can get uneven whitening by using them. Also, my teeth are not really stained that much. I don't drink coffee. Would they still work?

Does anybody know about those lights for whitening that you can buy at Wal Mart. What about whitening toothpaste?

I got my teeth zoom whitened and I paid $595 for that they I got the at home treys with he touch up kit and that was $395.
I got it done in the office and it did look whiter in the office but once I got home I coulden't tell a difference. I was very disappointed. So I called them and told them 2 days later that I was not satified with my results, so I had to go back and they told me to use my entire touch up kit. and I did and stillcould not see a difference, and that had already wanted me to come back again, and he gave me another touch up kit to use. But this time I didn't use it, and I went back again and do you know what they told me??? Oh my gosh that are so white, this last treatment really did good. and they just kept on and n how how much whiter they looked. I said well its a funnt thing how they got so white and they looked at me and said what do you mean. And I said I'm just trying to figure out how they look so much whiter when I didn't even use the kit this kit. I was so mad when i left Which I have white teeth, but I wanted like Anna Nicole movie star white. Needless to say your best option is vaneers that what I'll get in about 20 of so years j/k hahaha. But don't leta a dentist talk you into zoom whiting cause it diden't work for me. And it is all what solely happened to me and is my personal opinion as to my experience with zoom whiting!!!! hope this helps!!!! and good luck

The level of effectiveness goes from:
1. Professional dental bleaching -- Nice results but expensive
2. Home bleaching kits -- Crest White Strips fall into this category. In my opinion the bleaching is even. The problem is that you only whiten the front areas. Your back teeth and the backs of most of your teeth are left untreated because the strips don't reach that far.
3. Whitening toothpastes -- they do almost nothing.

The best for tooth whitening is the gels that go into the molded plastic mouth inserts that sit on your teeth.

Strips and toothpastes barely work at all and I'd consider them a waste of time/money. I don't know about the lights but it sounds like an expensive gimmick.

Dentists use the gels (for example Rembrandt is a well-known and respected brand) professionally. I am a dental assistant which is where I get my info.

I use them and have never had a problem. Everyone has alway commented on how white my teeth are. Uneven whitening can be caused when someone has a cap, crown or veneers. I have heard the strips do not work on fake teeth. Here is a tip for really white teeth. Use straight baking soda to brush your teeth once. It tastes awful and you will hate it, but works. Also, hyrdogen peroxide gives your teeth a bit a white boost as well. Butif you brush too hard or too long you will get temporary white spots on your gums. Not hot. To answer your question. The strips work, but so does peroxide and baking soda!

a ninety nine cent bottle of hydrogen peroxide. dose the identical factor, that's what the factor is, simply brush your tooth with a whitening toothpaste, after which sleek the peroxide to your mouth, I preserve it in for approximately 30 seconds, thats all you have got to do, and no they may not flip your tooth too white. I requested my dentist if he might whiten my tooth and he mentioned no, simply use the strips, however the peroxide is far inexpensive. well good fortune

If you apply them unevenly, consistently,
they would produce an uneven shade.

Try making your own paste using baking
soda and a warm water, brush it on and
use a napkin or spit to get rid of saliva
then rinse it off with regular brushing after
3-5 minutes... (you can also substitute
apple cider or white vinegar instead of
warm water, or even hydrogen peroxide
but both of these will cause fizz and produce
a lot more saliva. It's a natural whitener
and also a safe cleanser for dishwashers
and coffee pots or things you don't want
to use harsh chemicals on.

Yes they work and they do not cause uneven results if you use them per the directions. This is the brand our dentist recommends.
